"This is such a wonderful move that I supported as a board member and will support at the higher level as a member. I cannot express how much IACCE has helped me in my almost 20 years as a Chamber Director!"
Howard Meyer, ACE, Skokie Chamber of Commerce
IACCE hosts four in-person events each year:
IACCE also hosts webinars throughout the year on topical issues.
In addition, IACCE annually supports and promotes other regional and national conferences and programs sponsored by partner organizations such as the Institute for Organization Management and ACCE (Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives). Much like IACCE's own events, participants have exposure to creative, usable ideas on every facet of chamber of commerce management including membership recruitment, working with volunteers, economic development, events and fundraising.
IACCE provides up to $3,000 yearly in scholarships to its members. These scholarships are awarded for chamber executives to attend the Institutes for Organization Management, IACCE Fall Conference, U.S. Chamber Government Affairs Forum, American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE) Convention, the Western Association of Chamber Executives (WACE) and the Mid America Chamber Executives (MACE) Conferences.
Awards are given annually by IACCE to those who distinguish themselves through their service to the profession of chamber of commerce management. Awards include the Distinguished Chamber Executive of the Year Award and Service Awards for 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years in the industry.
The Illinois Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives established the Illinois Chamber Executive Accreditation Program in 1997 to recognize the professional competency of chamber of commerce professionals in the state of Illinois. The Accredited Chamber Executive (ACE) designation is based upon the experience, service to IACCE, training, continuing education and personal achievement of IACCE members. The ACE award strengthens the career development objectives of IACCE and provides personal recognition to Chamber professionals in Illinois.
Through partnerships with the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, the Small Business Advocacy Council and the US Chamber of Commerce, IACCE connects those members interested in legislative affairs with the relevant organization.
