Recreational Marijuana Law
Todd Maisch spoke with the IACCE board August 13, 2019 about Recreational Marijuana and stressed that your chamber should be involved with (even initiating) conversations regarding what your city or village ordinances will be regarding dispensaries. Be proactive – start the discussions – with your village/city officials and share your opinions on this subject.
The Illinois Chamber drafted the local control language and workplace protection language that was in the bill. This created the authority for your community to decide – and you are a vital part of your community. You may wish to form a subcommittee of your board to research and make recommendations to your city council/village board.
If you need more information on the language in the law, contact Jay Shattuck or Rebecca Mason . If you are looking for webinars or seminars, see below. If you have other events in your community, please email them to Lisa and I will share them out.
