The IAACE offers Communications Awards annually. This is an excellent opportunity for Chambers of Commerce to garner statewide recognition for the various media materials that they produce. Awards will be presented during the Awards Presentation Ceremony during the Annual Fall Conference.

In each of three chamber size categories, judges will recognize the top two entries in each of the following media types:

• Maps: Community maps.


• Printed Newsletters/Newspapers: May include monthly newsletters, tabloids, inserts, booklets, etc.


• Electronic Newsletters: May include monthly newsletters, tabloids, inserts, booklets, etc.


• Directories/Magazines: Membership directories, tourism magazines, or similar.


• Brochures: Single-page information sheets, direct mailing pieces, or other examples to be classified by the committee.


• Websites: Any website that promotes your chamber of commerce.


• Marketing Campaigns: May include a media mix pertaining to promotion of the Chamber itself or a specific Chamber event.

Please be sure to include supporting materials, printouts, budgets, statistics (if any), etc. to support your entry.

The top two places in each division will receive awards (winner and honorable mention). All entries will be critiqued by a professional panel who will evaluate your entries on the basis of professional standards.

A $20 entry fee must accompany each entry (you can submit one check for multiple entries).
The 2011 deadline for registration is Friday, September 30, 2011. There is a $15 late fee for each registration postmarked after September 30. Late entries will not be accepted without the additional late fee. Materials must have been produced within the past two years. The submitting chamber must be a current member of IACCE. Non-member’s entries will not be accepted. Only one completed entry form must be received with each entry.
If you enter MORE THAN ONE ITEM in a category, write a ONE-SENTENCE DESCRIPTION on the entry form so we can distinguish between the entries. Please submit a self-addressed stamped envelope if you would like a feedback sheet. Please submit 2 copies of each entry.
