The Chairman's Award was established in 2008 to recognize outstanding volunteer leaders in the association and to call attention to their accomplishments from the past year. 2008 – 2009 IACCE Chairman of the Board Lynne Schneider of the Buffalo Grove Area Chamber of Commerce, said, “We have so many outstanding volunteers, this is a way to show them how much we appreciate everything they do and honor them in front of their peers.” There is no application process for this award but rather identified through outstanding volunteer leadership in the association and the recognition of the chairman at the end of their term at the annual awards presentation.
